Motion 312 vote Defeated

Motion 312: To strike a committee to study the criminal code's definition of when human life begins was defeated by a vote of
203 nays/contres to 91 ayes/pours
Interesting votes: PM Harper voted against the motion, actually no that isn't a surprise.
                         Minister Ambrose for the Status of Women voted FOR the motion, she is getting slack big time.  Pray for her. She is conflicted,   She said she voted in favour of the motion because she is concerned about the violence against women through gender based abortions.  She may through this conflict come to the pro-life side. So pray for her.

I Name the HP craven.  You couldn't even muster the courage to discuss the science of life.

They who had the courage to redefine marriage without so much as referencing a dictionary, a lexicon, a religious minister of any denomination, couldn't even consider seeking knowledge and advice from scientists, biologists, people who are considered experts in this field what the accurate definition of human being should be.  CRAVENS all 203

~~~~Centric Schools :Queries?
For those of you who don't know, Toronto has AfriCentric Schools.  The idea was the brainchild of some African Canadian Educators. Let me say first and foremost I don't have a horse in this race.  But I will offer a few observations.
First, When the White South African Government developed Afri-Centric territories, and afri-Centric schools, etc, it was labelled Apartheid and judged bad.
But Afri-Centric Schools are judged good because it is the African Canadian parents who want to send their children to a school away from whites and learn a slightly different curriculum which focuses on African contributions more heavily than the all inclusive public paid for schools.
Question: So what the South African government should have done was not concentrate so much on pushing the Africans into Black Townships, but rather they should have focused on White-Centric Towns and Cities.  I mean if they wanted to separate themselves it would have be acceptable, right??
Now the gays are wanting Gay-Centric Schools: ((Let me just say, I don't have a horse in this race either.)Okay they are just discussing this at this point, but let's just think this through, shall we?. If conservative  straights had come up with this idea, it would have insulted someone. It would have been labelled homophobic and racist and discriminatory,  but because the Gays thought of this all by themselves, it is just a wonderful idea.  Publicly funded schools with private and special curriculum .(Gee if only we could have catholic -centric schools- oh wait, never mind that is a totally different situation, and besides when the catholic-centric schools stress being catholic, it is perfectly acceptable to threaten them with having their funding yanked-- but I am woefully digressing, ahem).
Query:  I wonder will they allow straights in and will they be forced to have Gay-Straight Alliances and support the students' rights to not be bullied because they are straight and not LBGTTQ, or would they be advised to just be a closet straight and not rock the boat, and fear being outed as straight?
MP Stephen Woodworth's Closing Remarks on Bill 312 ~ re: The Humanity of the Unborn Child
Taken From My  Facebook Wall
2nd Hour of Debate – Motion 312
September 21st, 2012
Mr. Speaker, our great democracy was founded on the promise that two founding nations in conflict could reconcile their differences peaceably. Generations of Canadians have lived - and died – to defend the dream of universal human rights and honest laws so necessary to fulfill that promise.
These ideals created unity out of diversity and made Canada a bright beacon of hope.
The sweep of history for 400 years has brought ever greater recognition of the inherent worth and dignity of every human being. That bedrock foundation anchors Canada’s essential character.
We are here in Parliament to honour that vision of Canada. We are here to seek out a spirit of compromise amid passionate debate. We are here to embrace advancing knowledge in the service of universal human rights.
Motion 312 honours those essential duties. Motion 312 seeks merely to shine the light of 21st century knowledge upon our 400 year old law which decrees the dehumanization and exclusion of a whole class of people, children before complete birth.
About abortion, I say this: recognizing children as human before the moment of complete birth will not resolve that issue.
Even Justice Bertha Wilson, who championed abortion rights in the Morgentaler decision, wrote that Parliament should “inform itself from the relevant disciplines”, the very proposal embodied in Motion 312.
Recognizing the reality that children are human beings before complete birth will affirm the hallowed principle that human rights are universal, not a gift of the State which may be cancelled by subsection 223(1).
It would be a triumph of leadership to insist that our definition of human being must not remain frozen in time forever, immune from the light of advancing knowledge, immune from democratic governance, and immune from the spirit of open dialogue.
It would honour our commitment to honest laws to recognize a child’s worth and dignity as a human being before the moment of complete birth if the evidence establishes that as fact.
It would fulfil our shared vision of Canada to allow, despite extreme and intransigent opposition, a mere study about human rights even if modern evidence might cause some to question our laws.
Or will Parliament reject those Canadian ideals? Is THAT what Parliament has come to?
I thank, and many Canadians thank, the Members who stand with me against that dismal view.
Yet we in Parliament cannot ourselves sustain - we cannot protect – we cannot without help safeguard – this great vision of Canada. The hope of a Canada governed by honest laws rests in the heart of every Canadian. The pledge offered by countless Canadians to the high principle of universal human rights will not be overcome by any decision of this Parliament. We may safely place our confidence in the certainty that Canadians will not rest content with the perpetual absence of open dialogue on this issue.
There is no more noble undertaking than to fulfill that essential promise of Canada. Join me in the conversation so necessary to reconcile Canadians.
Thank you
Prayers requested
For my American Cousins ( Two in Boston, and 3 in Connecticut) Outr of 5 grown people wanting to work only 1 has managed to keep his job and the other (having been laid off) found one, but it requires her to hire a baby sitter to care for her younguns in the afternoon, so she is working for the babysitter (The one from which she was downsized allowed her to work from home (telecommute)- so she is actually bringing home less than she was with her old part time job. They are all willing, able and looking.
Okay, So Sometimes I'm a Little Slow on the Uptake.: ObamaNation.
Arwen: Daddy, what's an abomination?
Bear:  The classic definition is a strong hatred and mistrust. In some cases it could mean a mis-creation, something hated so much because it is a perversion of the natural, or what is normal. --- Or the enemy of  The Hulk.
Arwen: Huh???
Puff: Oh crap! I just got it.
Bear: What?
Puff: ObamaNation.  I just got it!
Bear: You just got it now? It's been around for years and you're just getting it now?
Puff:  I never put together ObamaNation with abomination. I only ever saw the two words Obama and Nation.  You know: The Nation Obama leads, destroys, whatever verb you want to include. Now I get it.
Bear: Gives his head a quick shake.
Puff: ( I was thinking of our Mayor's (Rob FORD) campaign and how he and his supporters called themselves FordNation.) By the way, who came up with the phrase,  the supporters?
Bear: The enemy.
Puff: Oh...
Canadian Parliament: Motion 312: When Am I Human
Shamelessly pinched from the ArchToronto Blog:
 Motion 312 - When Am I Human?
What is Motion 312 about?
Motion 312 calls for the creation of a special committee in the Parliament to review the definition in Canadian law that a child becomes a human being only at the moment of complete birth.
Section 223 of the Criminal Code of Canada uses a definition of human being which is at least 400 years old. Canada borrowed this law from British common law, where it can be dated back to as early as 1642.
Section 223 (1) of the Criminal Code states that "a child becomes a human being when it has fully proceeded, in a living state, from the body of its mother..." Therefore if a toe is still left in the birth canal, that child is not considered a human being yet and therefore has no human rights in Canada.
Apart from a declining number of US States, only three other countries in the world now share Canada's refusal to recognize or protect the interests of children as human beings until the moment of complete birth: China, Vietnam, and North Korea.[1]
The Motion is scheduled for parliamentary debate on Friday September 21, 2012 at 1:30 pm ET and the final vote will be held on Wednesday September 26, 2012. Both the debate and the vote can be viewed on your local CPAC television channel or by visiting for a live podcast.
Fellow Catholics and all who are pro-Lifers, pray. Pray as you have never prayed before and then do more.
Where Can I Learn More About Motion 312?
Kitchener Centre MP (Federal) Stephen Woodworth introduced Motion 312. Please see his website for the full text of the Motion:
Since abortion was decriminalized in Canada, over 3 million abortions have been performed. Almost 1 in every 4 pregnancies in the country ends in abortion. For more information about abortion in Canada see:
Pope in Lebanon!. TTC messed up. NHL lockout??
Prayers needed
1.  Holy Father, German Shepherd of Faithful Catholics, is in Lebanon.
2. For Torontonians, the Spadina line is closed due to a TTC worker having been struck and killed by a train.  (Arwen is staying home- no way I can manoeuvre a stroller onto CROWDED Shuttle buses.  Anyway fellow Catholics you know curses are going to be flying around the TTC today.(( Though the subway is closed only from Downsview to Lawrence West, the Wilson Yards are closed and so there are fewer trains on the line so everything is going to be crowded and slow)  Remember to pray for the one who died, and the one injured, and the ones who forget themselves and curse today because they have been inconvenienced.
.5  (Galadriel still went to school, she will brave the Shuttle Buses I try to be overprotective, she tries to school me.--fail)
Puff:If you are unsure, just ask someone in a TTC uniform where you are supposed to take the shuttle buses.
Galadriel, "No, really? I thought I should just close my eyes spin three times and point and take whatever bus I see when I open my yes.-Sheesh"
Puff: Yeah, okay, do that.
Galadriel: Mom!
Puff: What?! Go. Be good, I'll call the school and let them know you might be late.
Galadriel: Bye
(She is walking sideways out the door, looking at me like I'm sending her into the lion's den.Well, honestly she's catholic, the feeling should be like second nature, fie, like first nature.)
It wasn't until later when I realized that what I should have also told her was if the TTC is completely messed up just come back home. I'll ask her Guardian angel to guide her home if that is best.
3. The National Hockey League and the Players union are having a dispute that might lead to a lock out at this juncture.  Remember the average Canadian, remember that we have a VERY long winter, remember that without hockey we Canadians can very easily suffer snowblindess (no colourful jerseys), and Hockey Night in Canada confusion and ennui.We will have to settle for the dramas and the sitcoms. That is an unnatural thing to do on a traditional hockey night.  The lockout will lead to unimaginable withdrawal symptoms of not seeing the Leafs lose, every week. It might have the unthinkable effect of people, normal people, deciding to get off there duffs and support the pee wee and junior leagues, or scoff, head to the rink and play.  Kids might actually decide to play street hockey- Car!. Prayers definitely needed.
Please pray for me, that goes without saying.
Canada Closed It's Embassy in Iran: and Iranian Canadians Cheered
Baird said the government is formally listing Iran today as a state sponsor of terrorism under the Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act, later in the day Baird announced that Syria was also placed on that list.
JSYK when nations are put on that list it means that Canadians affected by terrorism supported by the Iranian (or any nation on the list) regime to sue.
"Iran is among the world's worst violators of human rights. It shelters and materially supports terrorist groups," Baird said in a news release announcing the formal terror listing, adding: "Unequivocally, we have no information about a military strike on Iran."
Baird said Canada has closed its embassy in Iran, effective immediately, and declared personae non gratae all remaining Iranian diplomats in Canada. Those diplomats must leave within five days. All Canadian diplomats have already left Iran.
From another article.
For their part, Iranian-Canadian activists have been asking Ottawa to expel Iranian diplomats since 2003, when Canadian photojournalist Zahra Kahzemi was killed in Iran, and they stepped up the efforts after the regime’s crackdown on protesters following the 2009 presidential elections.
I don't know for sure but I think
The first time Canada closed it's Embassy in Iran was in 1979 ( for 8 years) after hiding 6 American Consular staff and getting them out of Iran when Iranian students took over the American Embassy and held the rest of the staff hostage for 444 days..  Canadian Iranian relations have been "iffy" to say the least since the execution of Iranian Canadian Photojournalist Zahra Kazemi.
What do conservative Christians and Muslim parents have in common: UPDATED
More comming. But for now guess
For the Whole Story as written in the Free Daily
Some of the comments on that website miss the point.
I have children in the Catholic school Board.  And my daughters tell me what they have been taught over the years.  There have been times when Bear and I have had to correct the teacher's history lesson, the civics' lesson (apparently according to this teacher Canada does NOT have a Reigning Monarch) and yes even religion lessons.  I don't know if I'd want to know the timeline so as to pull my daughter out of the class, but rather so I could correct the teaching at home. To explain that while people have those philosophies and lifestyles that that doesn't mean they HAVE to live that way. or they HAVE to agree with the teaching.
There is a big difference between teaching that children must respect people regardless of what the other person's religious, social, and political philosophies are or to which s/he or his/her parents adhere and being taught that it is perfectly acceptable to use ABC or live the gay lifestyle.
And, because someone is going to ask: If any of my children think they might have SSA while still in school, then I would give them the same advice I give my children if they don't have SSA: You are too young to be having ANY sex. ABC doesn't completely protect one against all the harm that sex at that age can cause, including exacerbating the confusion that all young people have.
Every one is trying to prevent children from having unsafe sex. That is commendable.  What are they doing to prevent kids from having ANY kind of sex? It is insanity to tell kids NOT to have sex, but then teach them how to ahead and do whatever they want without suffering repercussions. Have these educators forgotten a truism when it comes to children: Kids are notorious for trying to "get away with doing something they weren't supposed to be doing." The threat and fear of getting caught is a great dimotivational  tool.
Tell them NO SEX of ANY KIND, because it is wrong at their age. Don't dilute the message then by then saying: Oh but if you want to go ahead and have sex, you can use these things to mitigate the risks. Shere crap.
Tell them NO DRUGS because it is illegal, and they will end up in jail.
Scripture to keep in mind
Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, [19]A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. [20] My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20
