The destruction of Canadian War Graves abroad Made me sad

and reminded me

You're a better person than I. It didn't make me sad at all--it made me very angry, and made me wish to go and torch a few mosques or something.

But then, I'm not as nice as I should be.

As a very ignorant unreconstructed Left-footer, and not nice at all, I am very angry over this.

By contrast, on the memorial which the Turks erected to the soldiers who died fighting them at Gallipoli, the insciption asks the parents of the dead not to grieve, because, "They were your sons. They are our sons now."

Scripture to keep in mind

Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, [19]A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. [20] My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20
