Remembrance Day Is Coming Up,

First up: A Mother's Tribute to his daughter in Afghanistan

This video's explanation from it's creator: I made this simple video for my daughter who is in Afghanistan with 1RCR. It's not about politics. It's simply about people.

Note: The song used is annoying, feel free to kill the sound and just read the mother's tribute

Credits: Song:"Don't Be Fooled" Artist: Hugh Dillon

Well,it's coming up for us as well--we call it Veteran's Day, but it started for WWI--and it's a day that should be kept with a bit of solemnity, because these guys, well they died for us, or were maimed for us, or carried in their hearts and minds the horror and stress of war for us.

In Canada Remembrance Day we remember the Fallen. But the week before known as Poppy Week or Veterans' Week, we remember those who fought and came back forever changed.

Boer War, World War I, II, Korea, Canadians in Vietnam (with American Forces,)UN Peacekeepers, Iraq 1,and Afghanistan)

Scripture to keep in mind

Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, [19]A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. [20] My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20
