Bout Time! Considering the way the English used you,and tried to use you up in the two world wars, you should get a royal for a mascot!

We haven't forgotten that the US Army Rangers were trained in part, and blooded with, Canadian Commandos!

Yeah, I know, but it wasn't the UK who took away the Royal designation, it was a former Liberal Government, about 45 years ago.

There was a restructuring and the commands (Army, Navy AirForce) were lumped into a single

Canadian Armed Forces
broken down into
Land Command (former Army)
Air Command (Former Air Force)
Sea Command (FOrmer Navy)

The people are divided on the Royal distinction. Some think that it smacks of colonialism and since they think we shoudl do away with the monarchy alltogether then our military should not be "Royal"

I am a monarchist at heart. But whether we keep or lose the monarchy, the Military IS royal until we officially turf them.

I mean no offence, but how does an American Vet know more about the history of the Canadian Military than our own Canadian citizens.

Also I generally find that among the members of the American Press, Canadians are nothing in Afghanistan. So how do you know so much? Just curious, and thank you.

Now, how about Dominion Day!

Scripture to keep in mind

Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, [19]A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. [20] My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20
