Christ's mandate is that we love each other. He adds alot of modifiers, but it always come back to loving each other.
Now there are different types of love. And one loves a spouse differently then a parent, and a sibling differently than a friend. But love, at it's core, it is basically, and I am oversimplifying it, to want the very best for the other person.
What if though, you want the very best for someone, but you don't like them.
In short, does anyone else out there love (genuinely care about, and want the best for) someone they don't like?
Depression makes one ask weird questions.
Scripture to keep in mind
Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20
