Michael Voris going to Antigonish

Bishop Lahey, should be strung up, not only for the child porn, or the mess he made of the CBWIII, but also for leaving Antigonish in such a state that Michael Voris from has to go and help them.

Michael Voris was called in to speak at the Lay Catholics Conference. in Antigonish.

Michael Voris was banned from speaking in Scranton by the bishop.  Yes, I have read the defence, "But they let pro aborts speak." Everyone is quick to attack the bishops for banning him, even the NCFishwrap has spoken out against banning Voris from speaking.  Him speaking is supported by the Fishwrap.  That can't be good. "Michael Voris speaks the truth." is a common praise refrain of his fans.  Does he speak the truth?  I don't know everything in Canon Law, or the doctrines of the Church down to it's minutest details. but...

He spoke out against Gays in the Military.  I don't know anywhere in Catholic teaching that prohibits gays from serving their country and be willing to die to pritect their fellow citizens.  I think that it a matter for Caesar, not the Church. The Church speaks out anf forbids homosexual acts as being inherently disordered.  But being in the military is not a homosexual act, and it is not disordered, so it isn't the Church that has a problem with it, no church teaching speaks out against it. So as long, and the gay man or woman doesn't have sex when they are on duty, actually I hope the heterosexual military personnel don't have sex whilst on duty either, it's perfectly acceptable legally and militarily and canonically.  So when he speaks aginst having them serve, it is his mind, not the Church's.  Show me in what Church document it says that Gays can't serve their country!

He is partnered with He has a show on their website, The Vortex.

When I had the URL, I was told in no uncertain terms that since I wasn't sanctioned by the Church I couldn't use the name Catholic.  This was pointed out to me by an admirer of Michael Voris.  I've gone to Michael Voris' website and it states, in short, that it is not a mouthpiece for the Catholic Church.  I sent him a email pointing out the canon law, as was done to me, and I haven't received an answer.  All I wanted to know is which bishop gave them permission to use the name Catholic.
They haven't answered.  Why won't they say who gave them permission to use the name
And if they aren't sanctioned by the Church why would a man who is loyal to the magisterium, be associated with them?

I don't know about M.V. People say he's just telling the truth, but I guess I don't think you have to hammer people with the truth. It's not a weapon.

I know. Something is wrong there. Not sure exactly what.

But what truth, whose truth. The church is against homosexual acts, not people. There is nothing in church doctrine or canon law which forbids gays from serving their country. They just can't engage in homosexual acts. He isn't speaking truth, he is distorting church truths as a foundation for his prejudice against people with same sex attractions.

Distorting religious doctrine for his own political agenda - who else does that?

Hey I'm just asking

BTW, I'd like to know why the Distorter is still allowed to use the name "Catholic" then.

Why pick on you? Why pick on a blog? Because those people are easier to intimidate?

Not saying you are easily intimidated, just wondering why you got picked on in particular.

Scripture to keep in mind

Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, [19]A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. [20] My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20
