Left Facebook

I left facebook after 10 years.

I will miss some people but honestly I think that I didn't want to be part of that world anymore.  Ran the constant risk of too many people knowing too much about me.  Though I guess Blogger isn't much different.

Anyway I don't know if blogging will increase,but .. we'll see.

My Mother recovered from her crisis, but her dementia progressed apace, and she can no longer walk.  She needs round the clock care, and has been placed in a Nursing Home.  The staff just love her, and she likes it there.  Though, there are times when I visit: ( and I visit every weekend, unless prevented do to family illness) that she whispers, "So, when are you breaking me out of here?"

My Mother is in the hospital.

Her kidneys have all but given up completely.

Please pray.

God knows what she needs, better than I can direct.

Where Has the Cohesion of the Catholic Church Gone.

So will someone anyone explain to me, exactly, how I am supposed to remain a Catholic and yet not believe a word that comes out of Rome, the Magisterium, or even the Pope?

No really, I want to know.

Because I see that happening a lot.

If a Catholic is supposed to believe as true everything that the Church teaches, has taught and will ever teach (keep in mind that the full deposit of the faith is everything taught in the past, the present and the future) because we are told that the church would NEVER, COULD never lie,  and yet everywhere I turn, on almost every topic, I am told by someone or other that this Pope was wrong, or that Cardinal is lying, or obey this encyclical but not that one.  If one cannot trust what Rome teaches, and apparently according to some, one can't, how in the bloody hell does one remain Catholic?

I want to stay a Catholic, I want to trust Rome, but everywhere I turn, I am told they lied here, or there or then or  now.

Herein endeth the question

I may or may not start publishing stuff on this blog again.  Or maybe get back to the Liturgical Music blog.

But quite frankly, I don't think I have the energy.  to take this up again.  But I will try.

Scripture to keep in mind

Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that deviseth wicked plots, feet that are swift to run into mischief, [19]A deceitful witness that uttereth lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren. [20] My son, keep the commandments of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. ***Cf:Douay-Rheims Proverbs 6: 16-20

I declare that I have no intent to acknowledge, distribute or encourage anything contrary to Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the Apostolic See. I submit myself and all the contents of this blog to the judgment of the Church.
